Greetham Retreat is well-equipped to provide your perfect holiday hideaway in the countryside. We don’t just provide high quality self-catering holidays and an exclusive touring caravan site, we really do offer so much more…
All our holiday cottages have access to a lovely enclosed courtyard patio area with outdoor tables and chairs. It’s a real sun trap and is perfect for enjoying a glass of wine (or two!) at sunset, socialising, or enjoying your meals outside. Or you may select a book, film or board game from our library and can spend some quality time together in our guest lounge. We’ve also got plenty of parking spaces too, all off-road and secure for our self-catering cottage guests.
For those cottage or caravan site guests who may be more active, cyclists and walkers will find maps and details of local routes, and can make use of our lockable secure cycle store (but remember to bring your own cycle lock, for when you are out and about). Outdoor enthusiasts will also be pleased to hear that we’ve got onsite laundry facilities and a heated airing cupboard for drying out wet coats and boots! We also have our own fully stocked tourist information room for you to browse, full of leaflets about local attractions, maps of walks that you can borrow, detailing many events, and other things to do in the area.
We make it easy to stay connected during your holiday.
Free for all guests, our complimentary Wi-Fi covers all our self-catering accommodation, plus the grounds and all pitches on our Caravan and Motorhome Club CL site.
Pets are most welcome in most of our holiday cottages and on our caravan site.
Your pets will love it here too, with more than 4 acres of lovely grounds to explore. There are several tracks nearby where your dog can run free off lead.
A washing machine and tumble dryer is available for a small charge (which includes detergent & conditioner).
A heated drying cupboard is also available – perfect for especially walkers or cyclists to hang wet outdoor clothing or boots.
Cycling and Walking
We have a secure lockable bike store here at Greetham Retreat.
Being in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds, there are many quite routes and paths for those who enjoy cycling or walking. But be aware, there are some hills!
Guests are welcome to use our brick BBQ area, designed for use with disposable BBQs. While you’re there, play with our giant outdoor chess and draughts set!
There are seating areas around the grounds for everyone to use. Cottage guests also have direct access to a part enclosed courtyard patio area with outdoor tables and chairs, its a real suntrap…
Our 4 acres of natural grounds offer a unique special feature for guests staying at Greetham Retreat.
With wildlife ponds, wildflower meadows, woodland, mown paths and seating areas providing a unique setting with great views, attracting much wildlife. They’re ideal for those interested in nature, conservation or wildlife photography…
Babies and Infants
We welcome babies and infants into all of our holiday cottages….
We have the following equipment to help you and your baby or toddler :- Travel cot, high chair, stair gates, Angelcare nappy disposal container, plastic plug protectors, children’s plastic cutlery, plates, dishes, beakers and place mats…. Please request when booking, its all available for Free…
We can supply a selection of mobility aids to help your stay be more comfortable…
We have grab handles, shower stool, raised toilet seat, toilet frame, elephants feet (sofa raisers) all available free of charge. Just let us know what you need when booking…

This Information Room is available 24/7 and has a very wide selection of leaflets detailing many varied local attractions, eateries, walks, maps, reference books and other useful information to help you get the best from your stay here at Greetham Retreat…
Recycling and Eco
Our cottages are energy efficient having high levels of insulation . They’re fully double glazed, exceed modern building regulations. Solar PV panels produce much of our electricity, all kitchen appliance are A or A+ rated, lighting is LED/low wattage.
We also recycle all guests rubbish, use eco-friendly detergents and collect rain water for watering our planted containers.
Larger Group Bookings
If all five of our cottages are booked together, we can accommodate 16 people in our self-catering accommodation.
Guests staying in our cottages or caravanners pitched on our CL site can holiday together with friends or family, by booking one or more of our five holiday cottages and pitches on our CL site, for the same dates….
As owners, Jeanette and Rob Folwell welcome all guests in person on arrival and will show you how everything works in your cottage or on the CL site.
They’ll signpost you to the best local eateries and attractions that will hopefully, be of interest to you… and try to make sure you get the very best from your holiday stay…
The large paved courtyard is furnished with outdoor tables and chairs and is available to all self catering guests. With a south-west aspect, it’s a real sun trap and the perfect spot to enjoy morning coffee, take your meals “al fresco” or just unwind with a glass of wine as the sun sets over the Wolds. In addition, Wendy’s Wing and Rose’s Rest have their own individual patio areas just outside these cottages. Alternatively, you can enjoy a game of outdoor Giant Chess or Draughts and use of the adjacent brick BBQ area.
The Guest Lounge is both spacious and comfortable, and is ideal for meeting and getting to know your fellow guests. Relax on the leather sofas or settle yourself with a good book or film from our library. There’s a wall mounted TV and DVD player plus an accessible toilet here, too.

For our guests with mobility issues, we can provide a selection of aids such as mobility toilet frames, raised toilet seats, shower stools, grab handles and sofa raisers (elephants feet). Just let us know what you’ll find helpful when making your booking.
Wendy’s Wing has level access, wider internal doors and a wet room, making this cottage ideal for assisted wheelchair users or those with mobility limitations. There’s also an accessible parking bay right next to this cottage
If you use a mobility scooter please feel free to bring it along with you. If you prefer, a local company Seacroft Mobility Ltd will hire you a mobility scooter or wheelchair for you to use during your stay. They can deliver and collect it from Greetham Retreat.

Infants and Children
Countryside getaways at Greetham Retreat are perfect for families. We can supply travel cots (suitable for babies up to 2 years), high chairs, stair gates and an ‘Angelcare’ nappy disposal system in all of our cottages. Just let us know your requirements when you make your booking.
(Please note, if a cot is needed in either Laura’s Loft or Wendy’s Wing it would be placed in the living area next to the bedroom.)
